Looking for a way to become more civically involved in Culver City
Leadership Culver City seeks to foster the development of new community leaders via a nine-month program promoting civic-literacy and civic-engagement — a new non-credit course held at West Los Angeles College, as a joint project with the City of Culver City, West Los Angeles College, Culver City Chamber of Commerce, the Exchange Club of Culver City, and the Center for Nonprofit Management.
The course is open to all adults, 18 or older, who live in Culver City. The class will be offered as a series of structured monthly sessions which include a combination of prominent guest speakers and detailed exercises.
Individuals interested in “how to sustain and enhance a sustainable Culver City into the 21st century” can apply. Enrollment will be limited to 20, and class participants be selected by the Leadership Culver City Steering Committee. The committee seeks a diverse class composition, ranging from community activists to business professionals, yet who all share a demonstrated commitment to the community.

- Applications complete and submitted by June 15, 2018.
- Classes begin in September, 2018.
